Controversies	• Criticized for Sharing a Morphed Picture of India In 2023, Shubh was slammed by critics after posting a disabled map of India on Instagram. In this inscription, it is clearly seen that the borders of the union of Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab and the north-eastern states of India are demarcated. Shubh wrote- “Pray For Punjab” below this map; however, he later deleted the picture after Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut reacted to his story and said, “Yeh Khalistani Virus wali bimari wahan kaafi Punjabi celebrities ko pakdi hue hai..beheading India in its map should have serious legal consequences… GOI must make strong laws against such criminals..do din jail ki hawa khilake, inke dimaag ke Khalistan mein answer bhar do, fill in the blanks kardo inn sabka (sic).” After that, Shubh posted a new Instagram story where he wrote, “Prayer for Punjab”. Shub later faced criticism for his behavior from other celebrities; Virat Kohli showed his disappointment in his unfollowed Instagram. On 19 September 2023, electronic label BoAt withdrew sponsorship for Shub’s concert in India later that year. • A Controversial Hoodie:  In 2023, Shub faced controversy when a video went viral at a concert in London, wearing a hoodie containing images related to the assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The video soon created a huge backlash, with criticism from many including actor Kangana Ranaut. Shub later took to social media to say that he was disturbed by things like clothes and jewelry being thrown at him during the concert. He also wants to stop the negativity directed at him. On the other hand, some media have questioned the authenticity of the video. It was also reported that a video of Shubh wearing a controversial outfit was posted on social media by a pro-Khalistan group. The report also said that Shubh’s concert outfit had a map of Punjab with district names clearly written on it and no controversial photos.
